Vacation is Sublime...

I’m at the beach with my boys, a friend of mine and her son, who is the same age as my oldest son. It’s so serene and peaceful here. No schedules to follow, no rush to get anywhere or do anything. The clock is practically non-existent. We’ve watched some really old movies—Ghostbuster, Ferris Beuller’s Day Off and Footloose. Tomorrow we’ll start on the newer movies: New in Town and Vantage Point are on the list.

The surf has been calm, no sea creatures stinging us, no high waves trying to drown us. It’s been peaceful and idyllic with picture perfect weather. In the evenings, we open the door to the balcony and listen to the surf. I never get tired of that sound. It could lull me to sleep.
