Another Monday

Another Monday. Another beginning of the week. Many people hate Monday’s because it means time to go back to work and end the fun of the weekend. That’s perfectly understandable. Who wants to give up their free time and get back to business? Well, I guess if you own the business, then you might want to, but the majority of us working folk usually don’t look forward to heading back to work.

There is another way to think about it, though. It’s a new beginning. A blank slate. You can start the week off fresh. Did you have a bad last week? Well, that’s over.
This is a whole new week. You might have the best one yet, you never know.

I’m a firm believer in the philosophy that life is what you make of it. I think a positive attitude goes a long way in making your life better. Bad things will happen, they happen to all of us, there is no avoiding it. But, you can be miserable because things go wrong, or you can try to find the positive and work to make things better. Look at it as a setback, not the be all end all. You have to keep trying and fighting to make things work out.

So, I’m actually looking forward to making my week the best it can be. I’m going to go to work with a positive attitude and keep telling myself that no matter what happens, I’m going to do well. I’m going to get my work done, I’m going to study for my test (that I’ve been avoiding terribly), and I’m going to keep editing my book that I’ve been working on forever and a day. Yes, I know the house needs to be cleaned and the yard needs to be mowed. Maybe I’ll get to that, too. (I’m not completely insane, I know I can’t do everything in one week) I am going to give it my best shot, anyway.

Those are my goals for this week. Hopefully, I make at least a few of them. If I don’t make them all, oh well, there’s always next week.

You are so right. Positive thinking is the key. We may not do it all and/or the right way but there is always another way and another day. :)
Thanks.

Thanks for the comment, Carol. I think we get farther with an upbeat attitude. I couldn't agree with you more, there is always another way. Think outside the box. :)

But I fix all that with chocolate, so all is well :-)
