My book, A Kiss of Wytchblood, was rejected by an e-publisher with no reason given, just a form letter telling me it wasn't right for them and they apologized for the form letter, but didn't have time to give me a reason for the rejection. *sigh* I can live with rejection. I keep thinking this rejection should have bothered me more than it did, but I lacked the emotional disappointment that I think I should have. Not sure what that means. Maybe I wasn't as gungho about this publisher as I'd though. *shrugs* Either way, I'll resubmit the book and continue the waiting game.
My boys are at their grandparents this weekend--*does a happy jig*--so my husband and I are going to the movies tonight to see A-Team. I so, so hope it doesn't screw up the television series I watched as a kid. I took my two boys to see the remake of Karate Kid. They loved it, but I wasn't impressed. Jaden Smith is a doll, but otherwise...*yawn* Just my opinion because I know other adults that enjoyed it as much as my boys did.

On a positive note, I received an awesome review from Seriously Reviewed for Elfin Blood. Seriously Reviewed gave me a score of 8 out of 10 and said: "SWEET! Are you a vampire lover? Do you like Lord of the Rings? I love both and really dug this book :) Hot, action packed and filled with great characters. Gracen Miller has done a really good job in telling a fantasy story that, even though was fiction and far fetched, still kept me pulled in and reading until the last page. Ugh, I feel for you on the rejection. I had this experience recently myself. I had attended an online conference and this online publisher had requested to see my full manuscript, so I sent it to them and there were a flurry of emails back and forth in which they showed great excitement - even going so far as to say that my story "screamed series" to them - and then they rejected me, after keeping me going for well over a month, on the basis of grammar. I won't go into detail about it, but it was something that could easily have been corrected in the editing stage. Rejections suck no matter how they're delivered.
So happy about the great review, though! So keep on going. you'll find the right publisher for your work - and so will I.

*hugs Margay* That sucks majorly how you got rejected. Seems like cruel torture too. No reason to get your hopes up and then dash them. I find that very wrong, and you're absolutely right, grammar can be corrected...easily! I had about 10 seconds of "maybe this book sucks" and "maybe I can't write" and then I slapped myself and got over it. Rejection is just their opinion for their publishing house. Elfin Blood continually gets good reviews, even my first book, The Devil's Den, received great reviews, so I know I can write to entertain. What I write isn't for everyone. So, you keep submitting yours, I'm definitely going to keep subbing mine and we'll both find a home for our babies.
Hey, Tierney! *hugs ya because it's great to just see your icon* LOL This is my husband's 3rd trip to Germany this year. The business trips are getting old! He's going to New Orleans in July and I'm going on that trip, but since we just come back from vacation to the Caribbean, I couldn't get away for another trip to Germany so soon. BUT I hate to fly, so all the trips he's made to Germany, I've yet to go over there with him because I don't want to spend all that time on a plane AND traipsing around Germany by myself. YES, I'm a weenie! LOL
BTW, thanks for the support. It means a lot to me to know I have the support of friends.

Gracen, sorry about your rejection. That wasn't the right house for your very special book. Every no takes you closer to YES. Sorry to hear about Margay's recent rejection too. That DOES sound like torture. AWFUL.
