Finally, I succumbed to one of Vistaprint’s many free offers. I ordered a hundred business cards and paid only for the shipping. Not bad actually. The cards are simple, but I am happy with them. Good enough for what I intend to use them for—promote my books.
When the box arrived, I thought to give a couple to my mom to hand out to her friends. She did and was actually glad to do the job. :D The other day, she called from her work to tell me the good news. One of her co-workers (she didn’t recall giving her my business card) came to talk to her. Apparently, one of my mom’s friends passed the business card to this co-worker who is a big fan of romance. She owned an Ipad, which she carried to work and showed my mom what she read during lunch. It was my book, Passionate Bid. :D Of course my mom was ecstatic and they started chatting.
The co-worker also mentioned that she had read my previous books and it was the main reason why she took the business card. Too bad I didn’t sign the back of it. It would have been awesome.
So if you haven’t tried ordering your business card, you might want to try it. It doesn’t have to be the special kind. Just a simple one with your name and website on it. You never know where it is going to land.
Till next time,

Pretty card!! I have business cards from vistaprint as well although I don't hand them out as often as I should. I usually use my postcards that have my book cover on one side and the book blurb on the other.
So do you have any new books in the works? I love hearing about people's projects!
Wendy
Funny you mentioned postcards. Last night, I ordered the free first one hundred from Vistaprint. :D
I have four projects right now, but Honey I'm Yours is almost finished. I am hoping to submit this one before the end of the month.
What about your projects? Got a new one coming out soon?
Tierney
Ditto everything Wendy just said. LOL
How are you gals doing?
Congrats on almost finishing your book, Tierney. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you to have it subbed by the end of the month.
