Song. Well, to some this is not new, but to me yes. Lately, I’ve been listing to The Story by Brandi Carlile. For some reason, this song helps me focus and keeps me in the zone. I let it play over and over drowning out other noises around.
Listening to the lyrics, I think of it as the heroine’s words, coming from her heart. Just wonderful. I could feel her emotions, see what’s in her head. The song transports me to the scene as if I am there.
Maybe when I start a new WIP, I’ll find a new song. For now, Brandi’s Story will play continuously. Another thing, now that I have started this, I’ll find a theme song for all of my next stories : )
