My husband an I attended our daughter’s awards ceremony last Tuesday. We watched her accept her awards for Most Inspirational Award in Music (she’s a violinist) and President’s award for Excellence in Academics. She’s in middle school and will be attending high school next year (Lordy, am not sure if I’m ready for that). Watching my daughter glow in front of the seventh and eight graders, faculty, and guests made me think about the hard work we put in all year long. Just like everybody else, we had tough mornings, late nights working on her homework, hours spent on the road for practice, etc. But all of our sacrifices resulted to her getting an award.
My daughter proudly showed us her certificates. Holding the tangible evidence of her hard work was amazing.
I made sacrifices here and there with my writing, too. My latest rewards are contracts with Red Rose Publishing and eXtasy Books. Also, (yup, I worked hard on this one as well) My Pleasure, a short story from eXtasy Books is another award I got. Mobipocket rated this book “Adults Only” ;).
Like my daughter, I would like to share the evidence of my hard work by giving away a copy of My Pleasure in PDF format. How? Let me know what gives you pleasure in life or just simply leave any comments on this blog.
My Pleasure, available in PDF and Kindle format.

My pleasures in life at too many to list. I have learned in the last few years to take pleasure in as many things as I can, instead of only finding the negative. Mostly my pleasures are my husband, son, extended family & friends.
Congrats to your daughter for all her wonderful awards and to you for all your contracts!
My pleasure are my babies! All three of them bring me endless joy. I can't imagine life without them!
My pleasures in life are the simple things, time with my husband, enjoying time outside in the yard. Just the little things that sometimes get lost along the way
Congrats to your daughter!
My biggest pleasure is my children. They remind me to take a time out from work and enjoy life. I do so many new things because of them. My life wouldn't be complete if I didn't have them.
My second thing is writing.
Congratulations to both you and your daughter for the awards, and kudos for all the hard work you both have done to earn them.
My pleasures are my family far and near. My youngest, 19, is still at home. My other three are in other states ( so are my grandkids!). I have to include my kitties - they bring alot of tension relief with their antics!
God Bless
Hi everyone! :D
Thank you so much. Yeah, we are so proud of my daughter. That's why I can't stop bragging. LOL I am thinking about framing her President's award because I like looking at President Obama's signature. LOL
Just like you guys. My family is number one for me. Mine is not perfect, but I'll be nothing without them. They give me pleasure that no one else or any exotic places can give.

Congrats to your daughter!
Like most people, the simple things in life are the most important. Spending time with those I love, eating chocolate, sleeping in on weekends, eating chocolate, reading, eating chocolate, writing, eating chocolate.
Yeah, that about covers it. Did I mention I like to eat chocolate?
*hugs*

LOL. Mark, I love chocolates, too. Sinfully yummy, hmmmm....
